Privacy Policy

Data controller: DriveReady Finland, operated by Ge Liu (private individual), Finland. Privacy contact: driveready.contact@gmail.com.

What we collect: your email address, first name, preferred language, licence category, optional test date, self-assessed confidence, and your practice history (answers, results, bookmarks, timestamps). If you join the Prep Pass early-access list, we store the email you give for that purpose. If you join a driving-school pilot, the school sees only anonymised, aggregated statistics — never your name, email or individual answers.

Why and on what legal basis: to provide the practice service and save your progress (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); to keep the service secure and fix content errors (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)); and to contact you about early access only if you asked (consent, Art. 6(1)(a), which you can withdraw at any time). We do not send marketing email without your consent.

Cookies and storage: we use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and lesson progress. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.

Processors and location: data is stored with our cloud hosting and database provider under a data processing agreement. Where data may be processed outside the EU/EEA, it is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell personal data.

Retention: your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, practice history and sign-in account are permanently removed. Anonymous content-issue reports may be kept to maintain content quality.

Your rights: you can access, correct, export (Profile → Settings → Export) and delete (Profile → Settings → Delete account) your data at any time. You may also request restriction or object to processing by emailing the privacy contact above. We reply within one month.

Complaints: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto), tietosuoja.fi.
